Amazon refreshes entry level Kindle
Amazon has unveiled a new entry level Kindle e-reader boasting a thinner design and twice the RAM (512MB). Referred to as the "all new Kindle", Amazon's latest holds firm with a 6-inch touchscreen, albeit with no backlight and a comparatively low pixel density with compared to the likes of the Paperwhite and the Oasis.
The new Kindle is the first of Amazon's e-readers with Bluetooth support. This is predominantly designed for blind readers, and allows them to connect wireless headphones or speakers.
As always, Amazon says the Kindle offers "weeks of battery", but does not provide a specific figure as to how long it will last.
The new Kindle is priced at AUD$109, is now available for pre-order via Amazon, and will be available through Officeworks in the coming weeks.
