Samsung’s latest offering in the hard disk drive market can store more than 500,000 songs.
Samsung Electronics Australia has announced its new high-performance HDD (Hard Disk Drive) that is aimed squarely at the desktop market.
The HD203WI features up to 2TB capacity across four 500GB disks. As such, users can store up to 880 hours of DVD video or over 500,000 songs in MP3 format. With the ability to store to four disks at the same time, this HDD is a more power efficient option for users looking to store large amounts of data.
“Storage-hungry multimedia professionals, gamers and home PC users continue to increase the amount of video, music, photos and other personal data they store and back-up,” Emmanuele Silanesu, product and marketing manager, Samsung Electronics Australia. “The HD203WI delivers the benefits of a power efficient drive with increased performance.”
The HD203WI incorporates a 3.0Gbps SATA interface, Native Command Queuing features and a 16MB/32MB buffer memory.
