The latest 007 movie, Quantum of Solace, has been tipped at the box office by the movie adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight novel.
Quantum of Solace, the highly awaited follow-up to 007 flick Casino Royale, has been tipped at the box office by vampire romance story Twilight.
Twilight grossed just under $US70 million in its first weekend, besting Quantum of Solace which grossed $US26.7 million in the same period.
American box office tracker Media by Numbers released the figures. They also revealed animated film “Bolt” came in 3rd place with $US26.2 million in ticket sales over the same period.
The success of the teenage love story has prompted Summit Entertainment to green-light a sequel to be produced off the second book in the series, New Moon.
Twilight is set to hit Australian cinemas on December 11.
