Ubisoft Motionsports – With Kinect

Ubisoft’s new Motion Sports game has been designed with Microsoft’s motionless controller – the Kinect – in mind.

Motion Sports is basically a collection of mini games where you control the action by leaning, reaching, kicking, sidestepping, jumping and running. There are six sports to choose from and most allow multiplayer – so be sure to invite your friends over to share in the fun.

Motion Sports is basically a collection of mini games where you control the action by leaning, reaching, kicking, sidestepping, jumping and running. There are six sports to choose from and most allow multiplayer – so be sure to invite your friends over to share in the fun.

An image capture of your face is used through the game on promotional posters and sports magazines, captured by the Kinect camera. If your brain never left the slopes this Winter, turn up the AC and get into Skiing, where you race down the mountain leaning side-to-side to control your skier and crouching to build up speed.

Hang-gliding is a bit more summer-friendly, where you gently but precisely navigate your craft through checkpoints in the air. The mini games don’t immerse you deep into the sport but instead offer a fun snapshot of the kinds of skills used.
