Seagate GoFlex

Some of you will be familiar with this nightmare…you’ve almost finished your 8000 word assignment…you’re tired…and accidentally delete the whole essay and save and close the document in quick succession.

Some of you will be familiar with this nightmare…you’ve almost finished your 8000 word assignment…you’re tired…and accidentally delete the whole essay and save and close the document in quick succession.

The Seagate GoFlex Portable range of drives will hopefully put paid to those concerns. GoFlex units come in two distinct parts. The first is a hard drive in a portable shell, – it looks like the drives in your computer.

The second part is this adaptor which can cleverly take multiple cables, from USB 2.0, USB.3.0, Firewire and eSATA connections, and can be used with different computers. So, you can choose the data speed, that goes up to 10 times the speed of USB 2.0

The first allows the files saved on your drive to be read by both PC and Mac, straight off the drive,

The second is the Seagate Dashboard Management Tool, allowing you to see with a single glance your drive statistics, including available capacity.

As for those concerns about accidentally deleting an essay, if you plug it into the Auto Backup cable, you can also backup your entire computer system automatically.
