ASUS’s Eee Slate PC come with Windows 7 Home Premium as its operating system, marking it as Microsoft’s main push into the tablet arena. It attracted a lot of attention at this year’s CES.

One of the advantages of a tablet running Windows, is it will easily sync with all your other Windows devices. Also, for basic school, uni and business work, it’s hard to deny Microsoft applications still dominate our lives.

One feature is its Led backlit 12.1-inch touchscreen, which allows users to navigate with multi touch gestures. There’s a 178 degree viewing angle, and it comes with a stylus for more detailed instructions if necessary.

The Eee Slate has two USB ports, mini HDMI and a 2 megapixel webcam. By running Windows, this tablet could be described as an ultra-portable laptop minus the conventional keyboard. It will be available early this year.
