One of the most eagerly anticipated titles of the year is Assassin’s Creed – Brotherhood, the third installment of one of the most popular games ever released.

In Brotherhood, lead assassin Ezio heads to Rome to retrieve a stolen artifact, the Apple of Eden, and rid the city of Borgia family’s influence.

The richness of the city of Rome and the seemingly endless possibilities it presents to you, is the hallmark of the game. You can collaborate with real historical characters such as Niccolo Machiavelli and Leonardo da Vinci – there is a whole mission surrounding his inventions.

The economy plays a greater role in this edition, vital to winning over the locals and gaining access to missions, secrets and weapons.

The ‘Brotherhood’ aspect of the game begins when you start training a citizen you have rescued, which makes them loyal to your cause. As you gather more of your team, you can send them on missions, and ask for their assistance in battle. Eventually, they become fully fledged assassins, and you are in charge of the Brotherhood.

This edition also sees the introduction of multi-player to the Assassins Creed series. There is a variety of multiplayer modes, all based on the same theme – you hunt an assigned target, alone or in a team, while simultaneously trying to avoid the player assigned to assassinate you.
