First Look: LG Watch Urbane – LG goes premium
The LG Watch Urbane, LG's high-end Android Wear wearable, was a key part of the manufacturer's Mobile World Congress exhibition. Differentiating itself from the G Watch R, the Watch Urbane has a thinner profile and is encased in an all-metal body available in either or gold or silver finishes with a 22mm leather strap. While over in Barcelona, Charlie had a chance to check it out!

LG also showcased the LG Watch Urbane LTE, a SIM-card enabled smartwatch, much like the Samsung Gear S. As with the Gear S, the Watch Urbane LTE eschews Android Wear for LG's own wearable operating system. Added functionality includes the ability to make and receive phone calls without a paired smartphone and specialised fitness features for golfers, cyclists and hikers. While most of the Watch Urbane LTE's specifications are very similar if not identical to the Watch Urbane, the Watch Urbane LTE has a 700 mAh battery – the largest in a smartwatch yet.
LG has yet to confirm the Watch Urbane LTE's pricing and availability.
