Imagine being able to send an image to a friend’s computer simply by touching it. It might sound strange but a new technology by KDDI called Intra-Body Communication could actually make this happen.

Imagine being able to send an image to a friend’s computer simply by touching it.

It might sound strange but a new technology by KDDI called Intra-Body Communication could actually make this happen. The technology uses the human body as a means for transmitting data which means that if you wanted to transfer a song from your friends iPod to your own, you’d simply have to put a hand on each of the devices and you would be the cable.

While not ready for the real world yet, it is a sign that the days of USB cables might be numbered.
