Xbox 360 Prices Slashed

Microsoft Australia has announced that it will lower its recommended retail price of its Xbox 360 standalone consoles and Kinect bundles.

Microsoft Australia has announced that it will lower its recommended retail price of its Xbox 360 standalone consoles and Kinect bundles. From October 4th, the recommended retail price of the Xbox range of products will be lowered by between $50 and $150.

New pricing of its range will be:

  • Kinect Sensor, $149
  • 4GB Xbox 360, $199
  • 4GB Xbox 360 with Kinect, $299
  • 250GB Xbox 360 $299
  • Limited edition consoles $399

Xbox also announced the price of Halo 4, launching November 6. The RRP for Halo 4 Standard Edition is $89.95 and Halo 4 Limited Edition is $129.95.

The price drop announcement comes ahead of a line up of games releasing before Christmas, including Halo 4, Forza Horizons, Dance Central 3, Nike + Kinect Training and Fable The Journey. Xbox owners will also benefit from another Xbox LIVE update scheduled for later this year.
