Seems a lot of people have been saying ‘yes’ to Vodafone recently with the company adding 70,000 new customers in the June quarter – taking its customer base in Australia to 4.1 million.

Vodafone says of the 70,000 customers, 50,000 were direct signings – the rest came through other providers. The compnay also had an increase in revenue, which rose by 6.3% on the same period last year.

In a statement released today, Vodafone CEO Russell Hewittt said: “Vodafone Australia’s business is booming in all states and territories because we’re injecting real value into the market at a time when customers are looking for improved services at reasonable rates.

“Vodafone is playing and winning in the mobile broadband market and the new and emerging range of smart phones will help Vodafone to deliver on the promise of exceptional mobile communications and mobile internet services.”
