Vietnam has opened the country’s first rehabilitation clinic for video game addicts.
Vietnam have opened their first clinic for teenagers addicted to video games.
Opened in Ho Chi Minh City, the clinic has already admitted 50 patients into rehabilitation for eight weeks.
Huynh Hong Hiep, head of training at the Southern Youth Centre, the founders of the facility, says parents complain of being unable to drag their kids away from the computer.
As part of their rehabilition, the addicts will be counselled while developing their personality through social work, music, painting, dancing and playing sports.
Vietnam has around six million video game addicts, according to The Online Information and Consulting Service, a department of the state.
