Telstra suffers nation-wide mobile outage
Local telco Telstra is currently in the midst of a nation-wide mobile outage affecting both 3G and 4G networks. The outage began about 12pm today, and can prevent a user from making mobile to mobile phone calls, receiving texts, and accessing the internet.
At approximately 3pm, Telstra issued a statement via Twitter saying it has "identified the issue" and is restoring services progressively. It did not provide an ETA.
We've identified the issue and services are being restored progressively. Thank you for your patience. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

The telco's social media accounts have told users they can seek reimbursement for loss of service through Telstra's live chat after the network is back online.
@AdamReibel Once services are back up and running, please live chat with us at this link https://t.co/Z210KIfCQj and our billing team >>
