What’s the world’s most technologically advanced nation? Well, if you go by the most technologically savvy Christmas trees placed in the country’s largest cities, Australia is right up there.

Well, if you go by the most technologically savvy Christmas trees placed in the country’s largest cities, Australia is right up there.

New York’s Rockefeller Center is known for it’s legendary Christmas tree, but this year Sydney has decided to outshine it. While the big tree in New York is sporting 30,000 Light Emitting Diodes, Sydney’s tree beats it by almost one-hundred percent with 58,000.

Switched on last night, the light emitting diodes put out a lot of light in a small amount of space and with 58,000 of the things, you’ll probably be able to bask in the light this thing puts out as far as New York.
