Spotify Now Playing On The WD TV Media Box

Music fans can now experience the world's largest free on-demand music provider, Spotify through their WD TV media players allowing them to stream over 16 million tracks on-demand. They can then share them share music with their friends, family and social networking circles.

The WD TV media player already offers online content offerings such as YouTube, DailyMotion, Vimeo, PlayJam, Picasa Web Albums, TuneIn Radio and MLB.TV.

WD incorporates Spotify’s ability to create and manage playlists, share songs with friends, as well as see and subscribe to friends’ playlists via their Spotify profiles meaning users can also share tracks by sending songs directly to the inbox of other Spotify users. .

Supporting a range of file formats, content, the company says that this unit can also be streamed from any connected USB drive, digital camcorder or camera, network drive (such as the My Book Live personal cloud storage) and any networked PC or Mac computer.
