Sennheiser Goes After Mobile Market

High-end headphone manufacturer is releasing new headphones designed for the mobile and portable markets

Sennheiser is showcasing several new headphones for portable players at this year’s International Consumer Electronics show in Berlin, while Sennheiser Communications will be showing new headsets for mobile phones.

There are four products that are equipped with Bluetooth technology for wireless music enjoyment while on the move.

No matter whether they are connected to a mobile phone or an MP3 player, the PX 210 BT, MM 400 and MM 100 guarantee perfect sound when you’re on the move, claims Sennheiser. The headphones have been specially designed for enjoying music from portable players, and their neodymium magnets provide a detailed, lifelike sound image and a frequency response of 15 to 22,000 Hertz.

The MM 400 headset is said to combine sound quality with faultless voice transmission. Its Bluetooth technology allows the headset to be used not only with mobile phones but also with laptops. The MM 100 Bluetooth headset with its fixed neckband is the ideal choice for all those who want to enjoy sports and other activities and still remain reachable at all times.

Newcomers to the Sennheiser product range in August are the PXC 310 and PXC 310 BT travel headphones and the MM 450 Travel headset. The PXC 310 BT, for the first time, combines all the features of travel headphones with the Bluetooth apt-X audio codec.
Whether you are at home or out and about, the five new HD-models have optimised sound for MP3 players and other portable audio equipment, but they are also suited for use with a home hi-fi system.

Until now, it was difficult to combine good sound for gaming and minimum weight for taking it wherever you go. But the PC 300 G4ME is a slim in-ear headset with its integrated microphone and volume control means that it takes up about as much space as a matchbox.

Two new PC products, PC 100 and PC 11, will also launch at IFA. The PC 100 is an all-round in-ear headset for enjoying music in the train on your way to work, telephoning with business partners over the internet or gaming in the evening. The PC 11 is a new VoIP headset that is ultra-lightweight and comfortable on either ear, it is the ideal single-sided headset for internet telephony and dictation.
