See you ’round, Hitachi.

News today as Hitachi have a Blu-Ray camcorder on the way. It’s got a Blu-ray drive, a 60GB hard drive…and you won’t be able to buy it here. Hitachi last night announced that they will be leaving the Australian market. You’d think that we hurt their feelings or something, but no apparently it’s more of an international restructuring or something.

Got a hankering to record video at full HD to either an internal 60GB hard drive or one of those newfangled mini-Blu-Ray discs? What about the ability to take pictures on a 5.3 megapixels CMOS sensor?
