Ricoh Upgrade GXR Camera System

  • Compensation function
  • Available in September
  • Correction function

Ricoh has announced the release of the new GXR Mount A12, a lens mount unit designed for the GXR interchangeable unit camera system.

Featuring a 12.3 megapixel APS-C size CMOS sensor and a focal plane shutter, this unit makes it possible to mount lenses such as Leica M lenses, and it provides various types of compensation and correction functions.

Introduced in December 2009, the GXR is a interchangeable unit camera system in which lenses can be changed by mounting camera units that integrate lens, image sensor, and image processing engine into a single unit. In addition, utilising its ability to accommodate interchangeable units other than camera units, the system can be expanded to include a variety of other devices.

In addition to the Mount A12, four interchangeable camera units are available:

  • GR Lens A12 50mm F2.5 Macro
  • Ricoh Lens S10 24-72mm F2.5-4.4 VC
  • Ricoh Lens P10 28-300 mm F3.5-5.6 VC
  • GR Lens A12 28mm F2.5

This latest addition to the group will be available in September.
