LGs new phone range looks like a winner
- Android-based
- Sleek looks
- Dual SIM capability
It’s been a long time between drinks, however LG has finally launched a new smartphone range – the L-Style series smartphone series that includes four handsets; the flagship model Optimus L7, Optimus L5, Optimus L3 and the dual SIM Optimus L2.
To make the phones even more noticeable in what is a very crowded local smartphone market, LG has engaged former Miss Australia Erin McNaught as the ‘face’ of its new range. McNaught will star in the dedicated L-Style TVC which is due to air nationally from late July.
The flagship model of the range, the Android 4.0 running Optimus L7 comes with a large and 4.3” NOVA Display with In Plane Switching (IPS) technology, advanced colour reproduction and clarity, meaning images and videos on the Optimus L7 are designed to appear more vibrant and precise.
The Optimus L5 will also run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, providing support for the latest applications, advanced multitasking functions, customisation of home screens and deep interactivity for users.
One feature of the Optimus L5 is Quick Memo, which has been designed as a convenient memo function letting users quickly capture on-screen images, jot notes on the phone screen, using a finger or stylus, and then easily share them through their social media networks, text messages and e-mails.
For those looking for something more compact, the Optimus L3 handset has a 3.2” display and for those that need 2 SIM cards, the Optimus L2 features active Dual SIM capabilities, and is one of only a very few Android smartphones on the market to do so.
This feature says LG has been designed for “professionals needing a personal and work phone number on the same handset or for users with a need to regularly make international calls”.
The Optimus L2 Dual SIM also features an easy to navigate user interface so that users can select the dedicated Hot Key to switch between SIM cards quickly and easily. LG says that each SIM is colour-coded so that you know exactly which service you’re using at any time which makes managing calls and data services effortless.
