LG Nexus 4 Will Have Wireless Charging
- “Nexus” etch on top
- To compete with Nokia's Windows Phone 8 handsets
- Two colours: either black or white
Another one from the rumour mill, the LG Nexus 4 will reportedly support wireless charging right out of the box. This has been further solidified by a leaked image supposedly showing what the LG Nexus 4's wireless charging pad will look like.
Wireless charging seems to be the new direction the tech world is going so this rumour is very likely to be true.
The leaked image shows a disc-shaped gadget with "nexus" etched on top of it. The charging pad resembles Google's Nexus Q media-streaming orb.
This may or may not be real but the wireless charging feature is still very likely. And if it is in fact true, it will go head-to-head with the likes of Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820.
There are three varieties of wireless charging accessories for Nokia's Windows Phone 8 handsets: the plate, the stand and the "Fatboy pillow." All three options will be available in colours to match the Lumia phones themselves, including red, yellow, blue, white and black.
On the other hand, the LG Nexus 4 is only rumoured to have 2 colours, either black or white, so this is where LG may lag behind Nokia – aesthetically, at least.
An official LG Nexus official announcement is expected on October 29.
