Depp is also slated to appear as Tonto in the Jerry Bruckheimer helmed Lone Ranger as the Mad Hatter in the new Tim Burton adaptation of lewis Carroll’s classic children’s story Alice in Wonderland. Alice will use 3D animation and performance capture technology (similar to 2007’s Beowulf).
