HTC to release Windows Phone 8X on November 8

There are buzz that HTC’s new flagship- the Windows Phone 8X will be hitting the shelves on November 8, according to information taken from Amazon UK.
Amazon UK has put up a pre-order for a SIM-free variant of the model and has indicated an expected shipping date of November 8. The device is listed at a whopping US$863.

There are buzz that HTC’s new flagship- the Windows Phone 8X will be hitting the shelves on November 8, according to information taken from Amazon UK.
Amazon UK has put up a pre-order for a SIM-free variant of the model and has indicated an expected shipping date of November 8. The device is listed at a whopping US$863.
The rumoured date may just be true, especially considering that the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 are slated for launch at around the same date.
The HTC Windows Phone 8X runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset, housing a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and Adreno 225 GPU, coupled with 1GB of RAM. The 8X has a 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 display, with a resolution of 1,280×720 pixels (342ppi), and Gorilla Glass 2 treatment, apart from special anti-glare lamination.
The HTC Windows Phone 8X is 10.1mm-thick and built on a polycarbonate unibody design. It has 16GB of built-in storage, and weighs in at 130 grams. It features an 8MP autofocus camera with a BSI sensor, LED flash, and an f/2.0 lens, with a 28mm FOV. It has a dedicated image processor – the HTC ImageChip, which will also deliver 1080p HD video recording at 30fps, along with stereo sound. It also comes with Beats Audio sound but will not have bundled headphones though.
The company also announced the Windows Phone 8S. Both the 8S and 8X are said to be inspired by the Microsoft’s new logo, tile.
HTC 8S is a mid-range phone with Snapdragon 1GHz dual core processor and 512 MB RAM. It comes with a 4-inch super LCD touch screen with WVGA resolution and also features a micro SD card slot. It has a 5-megapixel camera, and is powered by a smaller 1700mAh battery. Beats audio and Gorilla Glass technology are present in the device as well.
