Among the previously rumoured manufacturers that were planning to release a smartwatch only Samsung and Sony were able to launch their specific devices. But Google may soon catch up as rumours are spreading that Google’s smartwatch may finally get its debut as early as this month.

The news is courtesy of Android Police’s Artem Russakovskii, who said that he got the information about a month ago from reliable sources, although he admits that the information may have already changed.

According to Russakovskii, the Google smartwatch is codenamed as the Google Gem and will be made by Motorola. It will reportedly launch on October 31, at the same time as the latest version of Android – KitKat will be unveiled.
