Garmin is set to offer a new map update service that will deliver users with map updates for the life of their device, for a small fee… The service is currently only available to US customers but the service is expected to roll out worldwide.

Currently US customers can purchase the NuMaps Lifetime retail package through a retailer or online at $119 for U.S. maps and $149 for U.S. and European maps. Subscribers can also sign up to receive email notices when each new map update is published — up to four times annually. A one-time map upgrade is also available at $69.99.
