FujiFilm Claim Smallest 10x Compact

A wide-angle optical zoom lens is just one cute feature of FujiFilm’s latest offering in the compact market.

Encased in a metal shell with a double-coated lacquer finish, the FinePix F70EXR is 22.7mm thick and has been designed specifically for capturing demanding shots in challenging conditions, claims Fujifilm.

It comes with a 10x wide angle optical zoom lens (27mm wide angle – 270mm telephoto), which has been developed in conjunction with the company’s EXR technology to produce crisp, high resolution photographs.

The lens also features Super EBC coating, which keeps ghosting and flare to a minimum to allow for optimal photo quality.

EXR Auto is said to take the guesswork out of setting the camera by doing everything for you. A set of program modes, EXR Auto automatically detects six different types of scenes – Portrait, Landscape, Macro, Backlit Portrait, Night and Night Portrait. The camera will recognise the scene, optimise focus, colour balance, exposure, flash and sensitivity and will also automatically set lighting conditions.

It also has an improved flash control system which efficiently controls the level of flash for a given exposure to produce balanced flash illumination across the foreground and background.

There are a myriad of other features that can be seen when you go to your local camera retailer.
