Dead Spots Gone With Wi-Fi Range Extender

  • Extends wireless coverage
  • LED indicators give best location
  • Can roam anywhere in the house

With the rapid expansion of internet connected devices in the home, Wi-Fi dead spots are the last thing you want when streaming a movie to your tablet, playing your Xbox, or downloading the latest Lady Gaga album to your smartphone.

Netgear has launched its new universal wifi range extender (WN3000RP), which the company claims will make wifi dead spots a thing of the past.

Increasing the coverage of a home network, the extender works by automatically repeating the wireless signal from your wifi router or gateway, giving people the freedom to roam anywhere in the house without having to worry about losing connection. Plugging into any power socket, the device is a compact and self-contained unit that operates without wiring, making it easy to move around the house.

The extender features LED indicators to help users find the best location for the device in a home. It works with all common Wi-Fi security standards, including WEP, WPA and WPA2.
