A 32GB Nexus 7 may be hitting the market soon, after a Japanese customer got the supposedly non-existent version when he ordered a 16GB Nexus 7 from the Google Play store.

Google and Asus' Nexus 7 tablet is only officially available in 8GB and 16GB varieties.

The 32GB Nexus 7 reportedly came in the packaging of a 16GB model, but the device itself shows 32GB storage capacity. It seems the device was mistakenly packaged in the wrong box, leading us to believe there is a magical 32GB pile out there, from which it came from.

The 32GB model has been circulating the rumour mill for quite some time. With some retailers’ websites even putting in an October 24 ship date.

A 32GB Nexus 7 does make sense and is very likely, especially considering that the Google tablet's main competitor, Amazon's Kindle Fire HD, will soon arrive with 32GB of storage itself.
