ASUS’s Transformer Pad tablet utilises NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-core CPU, ASUS SonicMaster technology for good audio and an 8MP auto-focus camera for shooting photos. It runs the Android 4.0 operating system (Ice Cream Sandwich) that is upgradable.

The Transformer Pad comes in three colours – blue, white and red. With a profile that’s 9.9mm thin and 635g light, this device Pad has a QWERTY keyboard and multi-touch touchpad, as well as a USB port and SD card slot provide additional storage options.

Its NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 4-PLUS-1 quad-core CPU with an integrated 12-core GeForce GPU helps with multi-tasking, Full HD 1080p video playback and console-quality gaming. The PLUS-1 is an extra battery-saver core in the CPU that handles low-power tasks like active standby, music and video, and is transparent to the OS and applications. It offers a combination of ultra-performance with low power consumption – up to 10 hours on the Pad and extended up to 15 hours when combined with the Mobile Dock.

The Transformer Pad has a 178-degree viewable IPS display. A 1.2MP front camera allows for video conferencing while an 8MP rear camera with auto-focus takes photos. The 8MP camera also has the ability to take Full HD 1080p video.

It operating system is said to allow multitasking, notifications, customisable home screens, resizable widgets and interactivity. Also onboard is the preinstalled SuperNote application, which has the ability to take, draw or record notes, while Polaris Office is a productive tool that gives users the ability to read or create Word, Excel and PowerPoint (MS Office 97-07 version compatible) files. With 32GB of internal memory, a microSD slot and 8GB of free storage on ASUS WebStorage for life, users can store and share their memories anytime, anywhere.

Accessories built for the unit include TranSleeve Dual, a durable, dual-positioning, multi-view angle sleeve that supports handheld video watching and ergonomic typing. Also available are micro HDMI to VGA or HDMI cables, an external SD Card reader, external USB Port adapter and a USB to Ethernet adapter, all designed to complement your ASUS Transformer Pad.
