Retail web giant Amazon has pulled a Japanese game from sale after discovering it allowed gamers to play out a simulated rape.

“We determined that we did not want to be selling this particular item,” commented Amazon spokeswoman Patty Smith.

The game was originally released exclusively to the Japanese market – however a few wayward second hand copies had found their way onto Amazon.

The game was developed by Illusion Studios – makers of other rather grim titles – Battle Raper and Artificial Girl.
