Acer Notebook Recalled

An Acer notebook has been recalled due to an alleged fraying of an insulation cable

The government has sent out a recall notice for a model of Acer notebook computer sold between May and September this year.

According to the government website ” The product serial number or the “SNID” number is required to establish if the unit is affected. Instructions as to where to locate the serial number or the SNID number will be given at the point of contact with Acer.”

The problem is a this particular model’s insulation cable may be frayed , which may cause overheating of the notebook case which may in turn burn the operator.
