Xi3’s Piston PC modular PC which was first unveiled at this year’s CES will start shipping next month, November 29 to be specific.

The device sports an x86-based AMD 3.2GHz quad-core chip, a Radeon 7000-series GPU, 8GB of RAM, 128GB solid-state drive storage, 12 USB ports, and support for up to three monitors through mini-DP, HDMI and display port at up to 4K resolution all packed in a small body a mere 4-inches tall.

The gaming machine also features a patented modular motherboard design that will allow users to update their Piston PCs with the latest hardware in the market. Piston will also feature custom chassis colours and logo laser etching for improved customisability.

Xi3 also stated that they plan to release their own upgraded boards and components that can be installed individually as PC technology improves.

The Xi3 Piston will retail for US$999 or around AU$1069. Those who will pre-order the console starting today will receive their Piston PCs two weeks earlier on or before November 15.
