Nikon Releases Rechargeable Batteries
Nikon has rechargeable batteries suitable for its Coolpix L100 camera
Nikon Australia has released of a set of four nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) rechargeable batteries, and a retail set that includes the battery charger (MH-73).
In addition, a firmware update for the Coolpix L100 (which uses four AA batteries) that adds support for NiMH rechargeable batteries will be released to coincide with release of the new set of Nikon Ni-MH batteries. Nikon is playing on the environmental aspects of the rechargeable batteries, which is a fair call as it reduces the number of batteries that have a finite shelf life.
