LG Watch Phone Out In August?

LG’s much anticipated watch phone could be making an appearance as soon as August

Having spied the LG watch phone at this year’s CES, we were wondering when it was going to make its commercial debut.

News out of Britain states that it could be released there as soon as next month, with a retail price of around AUD$2,000. Quite a price to pay, but for convenience it might be just the thing for people who wear a watch anyway and don’t have to worry about losing the mobile handset.

As well as being able to take pics and small videos, LG claims to have licked the potential problems of short battery life and heat, saying the new watch/phone’s battery life is reasonably long, and there are no issues with you wrist being burned.

There has been no word when the unit will be available in Australia.
