Tru Blue Entertainment announced today that AFL Live 2 is currently in development and will be available later this year for Sony’s PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

Aside from the deeper and richer gameplay experience, a host of new features will be added to the successful franchise starting off with a more comprehensive career mode. The game will now span 15 years allowing gamers to manage their players and team all the way from the TAC Cup through the Peter Jackson VFL and into the Toyota AFL Premiership Season.

The Career manager mode will now allow control over training, where players will gain experience and have individual statistics improved to match their style of play. Sponsorships, staffing, tribunal, emails, drafting and trading will also be included and will be available as players progress throughout the career mode.

Other notable features of the game include the single player, competitive and co-operative multiplayer and online mode, ability to edit teams and create players in the Footy Factory, multiple camera angles and dynamic replays, expert commentaries by Dennis Cometti and Tom Harley, over 200 realistically modelled AFL star players, and unlockable features including stadia and bonus teams to name a few.
