A cheeky entrepreneur tries to convince Joe Public that a pair of sneakers are worth the same as a second-hand car
How would you like to buy a pair of sneakers that cost $3,300, all because they have a little X-box logo on them? That’s what a company called Sole Junkie hope somebody will pay for a pair of sneakers it is selling on ebay with a price tag of USD$2,500.
These shoes are not endorsed by Nike (the brand of the shoe) or Microsoft, but the seller is certainly hoping to live off the names of those brands in order to make a killing.
Sole Junkie describe the shoes as: “These are an exclusive pair…only one of its kind. Patent leather back with embedded fiber optic wiring in the shape of the XBOX logo. Battery placement is in the tongue as well as on and off switch that has 2 settings: Strobe or Constant light functions. Gradient lime swoosh faded to black. The toe is painted in a surreal Tiger Camouflage with accents of lime and bright green. These are a men’s size 11.”
We guess that Sole Junkie are hoping some kind of shoe addict will be silly enough to part with some hard-earned cash to buy these uber-expensive pair of shoes.
Ironically you could buy an Xbox console, and ordinary pair of Nike shoes, and a couple of dozen games for about the same price!
