Initial Apple Watch allocation sells out
Angela Ahrendts, Apple's senior vice president of retail and online stores, last week said that she expected customer demand for the Apple Watch to exceed supply, and she certainly wasn't wrong: initial allocations of the wearable sold out within hours of pre-orders opening on Friday afternoon. Customers hoping to get their hands on an Apple Watch could have to wait as long as four months for select models.

Australian customers simply hoping to walk into an Apple Store on the 24th of April to pick one up are also out of luck: Apple will not be selling the Watch in its local retail outlets at launch.
“To provide the best experience and selection to as many customers as we can, we will be taking orders for Apple Watch exclusively online during the initial launch period," said Ahrendts.
