The Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy SIII didn’t exactly go as smoothly as expected, so Samsung is certainly hoping that its other rollout, this time for the Galaxy Note II will go without any problems.

During the weekend, the update was rolled out to both the LTE and non-LTE version of the Note II and is now arriving to consumers in stages. The update will be carried out using Samsung Kies on the PC or as an OTA update.

The update will bring new features to the company’s former flagship phablet. These include support for TRIM, Open GL 3.0 and ANT+. Samsung Knox and Samsung wallet will also be installed as well as GPU drivers.

Android 4.3 will also bring about various improvements on the device’s resource handling system including improvements in RAM management, display colour reproduction and reduction of redraws and lag in its TouchWiz launcher.

There’s also a new Samsung Keyboard, a new Samsung browser (supports full screen and tab interface), a new reading mode (optimises display for reading), a new camera firmware, some minor UIT tweaks in several apps and of course some Android 4.3 basic features such as widget lockscreen and daydream.
