Apple quietly begun selling updated versions of its MacBook Pro range as of this morning. The upgrades themselves are purely incremental hardware boosts, no changes have been made to the laptops' design. In addition to newer components, the price of some machines has been reduced.

The 13-inch MacBook pro now starts from $1,599 and comes with 8 gigabytes of RAM as standard. The 13-inch configurations are available with either a 2.6 GHz or 2.8Ghz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor.

All entries in Apple's 15-inch line now boast 16 gigabytes of RAM as standard. While the entry level 15-inch MacBook hasn't received a price drop, the top end model is down to $2,999. These machines have 2.2 GHz or 2.5 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processors respectively. The less configuration comes with an integrated Intel Iris graphics processor, whereas the higher has a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT750M.
