Zelda Gets Release Date

  • Limited edition bundle
  • Due November 24
  • No need for glasses

Nintendo announces that two titles will be available 24 November 2011: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for Wii and Super Mario 3D Land for Nintendo 3DS. Mario Kart 7 for Nintendo 3DS will also be available in December 2011.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be available as a special limited edition bundle. This bundle will feature: a copy of the game, a CD featuring orchestral arrangements of iconic music spanning the history of the franchise that will be performed as a part of The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony performance, and a rare golden Wii Remote Plus controller bearing the Hylian Crest.

Also available will be the game and the music CD (no Wii Remote Plus controller), and the game as standalone.

Super Mario 3D Land reinvents itself with the first platforming environment in true 3D, without the need for special glasses. Players will experience a new sense of depth, distance and speed while running, jumping and stomping on enemies throughout the levels. Plus, Tanooki Mario returns. Use the Tanooki suit’s tail to attack enemies or float gently down from great heights. These abilities help players move through the 3D environments with more confidence.

Mario Kart 7 brings Mushroom Kingdom racing into 3D. For the first time, drivers explore new competitive kart possibilities, such as soaring through the skies or plunging into the depths of the sea. New courses, strategic new abilities and customisable karts bring the racing excitement to new heights.
