You can now pick up (some of) your eBay purchases from Woolworths and Big W

eBay Australia and Woolworths Limited today announced a partnership that will allow Australian shoppers to pick up select eBay purchases from Woolworths and Big W outlets. Starting from today, consumers in Sydney and Tasmania are able to use 90 participating stores as collections outlets for their online purchases. eBay has not yet confirmed expansion plans.

A "Click & Collect" label will be displayed on eBay listings eligible for the new service, dubbed Simply Collect. The purchased item will then be sent to store of a user's choice, and held for seven days. Simply Collect does not attract any additional fees.

eBay expects it will have over 250 sellers participating in the program within two months. The online retailer named Your Home Depot, No Frills, Surf Stich, Mytopia, Futu Online and Golfbox as the first wave of Simply Collect enabled stores.

“Woolworths is Australia’s largest domestic retailer and we know our customers are busier than ever and are looking for greater convenience and ease in everything they do," said Emily Amos, the General Manager for Woolworths Marketplace. "This new service will help them make best use of their time by removing the need to wait at home for a parcel to arrive."
