Owners of Sony’s midrange Android smartphone from last year should be getting an update real soon.

Sony has announced that they have been working on an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Xperia M which should roll out soon, initially to phones from the French carrier SFR. Vodafone Australia has also shared that it is now testing the firmware on its version of the Xperia M and should also roll out soon to customers in Australia.

The update should be available to all Xperia M owners within the next couple of weeks and should bring a faster UI, updated multimedia apps including Walkman, Album and Movies; Xperia Themes and improved bookmark management in the Chrome browser.
