Weekly App Round Up is CyberShack's newest segment! Each week we'll be shining a light on the latest and greatest apps available for your phones and tablets. This week we're taking a look at the latest messaging craze, Photoshop on the go and a new twist on the classic "Snake".

Yo
Free
iOSAndroid, Windows Phone

Yo takes messaging to new levels of simplicity. All that you can do with Yo is send friends a notification says "Yo". This is achieved by just tapping a username in the app's friend list. While I don’t quite understand the appeal, Yo co-founder Or Arbel has raised $1 million in venture capital to continue developing the app, so there's a chance Yo could be around for a while.

Photoshop Mix
Free
iOS

Photoshop Mix gives the photo editing of Instagram on steroids; there are more options than you can shake a polaroid at. Aside from a large selection of customisable filters, Photoshop Mix lets you combine two images, and even lets you cut one out and stick it atop the other. Photoshop Mix is iPad only at present, but Adobe are planning to also bring it to iPhone.

Grub
Free
iOS

Grub takes ideas from the classic mobile phone game, Snake, and updates them for the modern age. Rather than controlling the titular grub through swiping left, right, down or up, you tilt your phone to make him move. Other new twists include enemies as well as power ups to help destroy them. All-in-all, a fun little time killer.
