Vodafone is today inviting new customers across metropolitan Australia to its recently launched 4G network.

The company’s current network features a 20MHz wide-band spectrum holdings which meant that Vodafone is now able to offer its customers some of the fastest speeds available across mainland Australia and is the only carrier that has this spectrum band in all five major mainland state capital cities.

The 4G network is complemented by Vodafone’s significant investment in its 3G+ and 3G networks over the past 18 months, which means that customers also have access to fast and reliable data outside 4G areas.

4G connectivity is already available for people who live or work in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, as well as major regional centres in Wollongong, Gold Coast and New Castle, and promises speeds 15 times faster than 3G speeds.

Customers can check on the availability of Vodafone 4G in their area by entering their postcode in the Vodafone Coverage Checker, which you can check using this link.
