Valve’s USD$50 box will let you stream games to any display in your house

Valve today announced Steam Link, a USD$50 box that allows users to stream titles from their Steam library to any display in the same area. However, as with systems such as Sony's RemotePlay, both the PC and Steam Link have to be on the same local area network. Valve says Steam Link will be able to handle gaming in 1080p resolutions at 60Hz with low latency. Steam Link will be compatible with Windows, OS X and Linux-based computers.

The Steam Link box itself has three USB ports, a HDMI input and an Ethernet jack. Valve will sell the Steam Link as an individual product for USD$50 or bundled with a Steam Controller for USD$100. Steam Link will be in available in November in the United States. Local pricing and availability is yet to be confirmed.
