Twitter may soon give users the ability to buy stuff while checking the people they follow as a leaked image of its mobile app suggests.

The leaked image shows expandable, sponsored tweets that have a sales blurb with a price tag and a corresponding “Buy with Fancy” button. Obviously, the new feature will be incorporated into the site in collaboration with online commerce site Fancy.com and this feature will be called Twitter Commerce.

The leaked images were reportedly seen on a public section of Fancy.com and are said to be mock-ups created by Fancy.com that was presented to Twitter sometime in the past.

Based on the leaked image, it looks like the feature can show up on the app’s Discover section. Moreover, it looks like users will be able to track their purchases from within the app, which should make the process relatively hassle-free.

Twitter is allegedly talking to other partners for its e-commerce section, so we might see other vendors thrown in the mix if and when the service will go online. At the moment neither Twitter nor Fancy, so do take this news with a dash of salt just to be safe. Nevertheless, it is really quite interesting how such a deal would affect how we see Twitter in the future.
