The LG G2 is undoubtedly one of the best smartphones in the market today, with competition only coming from other flagship devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8. With such tough rivals to beat, the successor of the G2 will certainly need an extra edge to keep up in the super phone race. One aspect that LG is looking to improve is the user interface.

Today, screenshots allegedly taken directly from the LG G3 was published by GSMArena. Based on the leaked images, LG will give a new look to its Optimus UI embracing a flatter and cleaner look. The icons, launcher and notification drawer will be less cluttered similar to how Samsung updated its TouchWiz UI in the Galaxy S5.

The quick setting toggles are represented by rounded icons. As for specs, the LG G3 will reportedly have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip with a 2.5GHz quad-core processor. It will also have a 5.5-inch display with QHD resolution, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable internal memory and a 3000mAh battery.
