Telstra offers customers 200GB free storage via OneDrive

Telstra is offering new and existing prepaid, post-paid mobile, mobile broadband, and home broadband customers 200GB of free cloud storage through Microsoft OneDrive. Customers will have access to this space for two years.

Eligible Telstra subscribers can redeem the offer by visiting Telstra's OneDrive portal and hitting the "redeem offer button". A Telstra ID and a Microsoft account are required for this process. The offer can only be redeemed once per account.

While Microsoft recently discontinued its 200GB OneDrive plan, it billed it at USD$4 per month. Across two years, this would cost USD$96.

Australian telcos and ISPs have recently taken to giving customers bonuses unrelated to their core service. Vodafone kicked off the trend locally, initially offering customers a free subscription to Spotify or The Sydney Morning Herald online. Optus previously offered bonus six month subscriptions to Stan, while Telstra gives select customers free access to Apple Music.
