Chinese brands of consumer electronics are now slowly making their presence felt all over the world as a provider of quality products less the jaw-dropping price tags. TCL is one such company that’s making a name for itself especially in the Australian market where it recently launched its newest line of 4K TVs.

Heading the line of TCL UHD TVs is the company’s 85-inch model that can restore an image in a 1:1 ratio and comes equipped with a signal processor and 4K decoder chip. Other notable features of the TVs include the following:

  • Smart TV with Online Video apps such as SBS On Demand, SMH.TV, YouTube, Vimeo and Social Media apps, Skype Ready, Facebook and other apps.
  • nScreen to connect SMART devices such as Android and IOS mobile phone or tablets through an App; allowing users to share media files, as well as use a connected phone as a remote control.
  • 200HZ Clear Motion Index (CMI) to take motion resolution and sharpness to a new level by combining a very powerful processor and fast response panels with advanced backlight control. 
  • Active 3D Technology to convert 2D content into a vivid 3D viewing experience. Four pairs of Bluetooth 3D glasses are included with 65” and 85” 4K UHD screens while two pairs of Bluetooth 3D glasses are included with 55”, 50” and 40” 4K UHD screens.
  • EPG TV Programme Guide: Smarter, Simpler and Clearer than before.
  • Smart PVR to allow users to pause and record the current program, and playback at any time via USB devices.

The 85-inch TCL UHD TV will retail for around AU$9,999 with information about availability to be announced shortly. TCL will also be offering other screen sizes starting at 40 inches for $799 up to 65 inches for $2999.
