Our smartphones can now be considered as a reflection of our personality and individuality. And although smartphone manufacturers thousands to millions of units of one particular smartphone model, those who purchase them usually try their best in making the device their own, whether by adding on accessories and cases or in changing the phone’s themes.

When it comes to cases and accessories, a user simply snaps on or attaches to the phone without much hassle. But in the case of customising a device in terms of its theme and software, it can be a little overwhelming for some especially with all the necessary settings involved. Fortunately, an app maker was able to make the process more convenient.

Although still in open beta, MyColorScreen’s Themer can now be downloaded on Google Play and allow you to change the look of your device with just a tap of a button. MyColoScreen has also added a catalogue of downloadable themes you can choose from, so you can change the look of your device whenever your mood changes.

Once a user downloads a theme, all he has to do is tap on Apply and the app will automatically download and put up all the necessary widgets, apps and images for the theme to work. However, the downside to this process is that it can be hard to change the design of the theme especially since some of the designs incorporate the desktop wallpaper.

The app has a database of theme designs uploaded by MyColorScreen’s team of designers and even users of the app itself. At present, the app’s database consists of a moderate amount of designs, but it could grow bigger in the future as more designers upload their designs to the database.
