Samsung launches the iPod Touch Killer

Samsung, in its on-going battle to become more Apple than Mac has just launched the Galaxy Player- an Android 2.2-powered tablet that Samsung has been spruiking at CES 2011.

But the only way you will get to use it if you move to South Korea – and quickly, as it seems the rest of the world will never see this little marvel.

Running on Android 2.2, the Galaxy Player (err, like iPod Touch anyone?) also has a 4-inch WVGA multi-touch LCD, built-in 1.3W stereo speakers, a front facing VGA camera for chatting and a back-facing 3.2MP camera records video and photos, it supports 802.11b/g/n WiFi\ HD (720p) video playback, video codec support and Bluetooth 3.0. It also has a slot for a Miscro SD card and a Miscro USB, reads Powerpoint, Word, and Excel files as well as PDFs and comes with all the fun Google Mobile services, like Gmail, access to Android Market and the ever-growing cache of Samsung apps and measures a mere 64 by 124 by 10 mm.

Almost makes you want to take out South Korean citizenship really.
